About Me
Hi, my name is Nikki. I began my teaching career on Long Island in 2003. This is a highly coveted career in NY and I felt really lucky to have this job at 23 years old. I spent 20 years teaching grades kindergarten-3rd. About 10 years into my career I started to feel dissatisfied. I saw many issues with the school system and started to wonder if I could make changes to public school. In 2017, my daughter Chloe was born and as she approached school-age I realized I couldn’t make the kind of change I wanted in time for her. I decided to homeschool and share my journey with other parents .
Our mission is to advocate for children and support parents who are seeking a free childhood for their kids. Our kids deserve a childhood free of being overstructured and overscheduled. Their childhood will be rich in connection and experience.
