If you are on Long Island and would like help homeschooling your child I have a drop-off program from 9am to 2 pm for up to 3 days a week! I have 20 years experience as an elementary teacher in a Long Island public school. I hold two MAs and a BA in education. I also have a 6 year-old daughter and I believe in child-led authentic learning. I’m an expert at curating hands-on, child-centric experiences that provide the building blocks of a solid education. I’ve got your phonological awareness, phonics, balanced literacy, number sense and mathematical fluency covered!
Your child’s day will include
yoga & meditation
math manipulatives
rich read alouds followed by puppet shows, acting, dress-up and other modes of expression
science exploration
instruments and art
tea time poetry
outdoor play no matter the weather
Why 3 Days?
My program is available from 1-3 days a week because this provides my family with the perfect balance of family adventuring time (our favorite way to learn) and time to learn alongside peers. The kids thrive when they are learning together and it brings a social aspect to their education that is sometimes missing from a homeschool experience.
